Hello all my lovlies out there in the big world! Sorry I have been busy with other projects and have not posted in awhile. I am setting up a new plan for the website and videos. Getting organized after such a large move from Norway and getting settled in California has been difficult. The winter was hard for me as I had some health setbacks and I started working again after 4 years. That has taken a bigger toll on my energy levels than I had predicted. Now I am finally getting used to life here in California. Although we will have another big move in December, as we are moving to Napa to be closer to where Liam works and the Unitarian Universalist church. I am just not finding living in Fairfield to be the optimal place for us. So we are looking for another apartment or house to live in. Such excitement!
I will be putting out a schedule of videos that I will be doing over the next few months in my next post. I am in the process of gathering all the information I have collected and sorting it out to be more organized. I know the first video will be on self care, as I truly feel this is one of the areas that sick people need to be better at. Self care is sooooo important, but sometimes we all put ourselves last. I truly believe that to heal we must take excellent care of ourselves. And only we can take care of ourselves in the best way possible.
Part of self care is to find what makes you feel joy or as the very popular Marie Kondo says, that which sparks joy. Something that truly sparks joy in my life is music and dancing. I have made a promise to myself that I will listen to more music and dance if the mood strikes! What brings you joy? Find that one (or if you have many, even better) thing and make a commitment to do that at least once a day.

January Travels!
Hello all! The last weeks of January were a busy and fantastic time for me! On January 20th, my son and I set out on a road trip to Los Angeles! It was gray and rainy on the way down, we took Interstate 5 so we could get to LA quickly. Went through some mountains and then the city of Los Angeles unfolded in front of us!
It was an amazing trip! I just love road trips! Tomorrow I will post more pictures and a day by day account of what we did! Life is too short not to set off on adventures and have FUN!

Nutritarian Women's Health Study
I am currently in a long term study for the Nutritarian Women's Health Study that is being conducted by Northern Arizona University and Dr. Joel Fuhrman, author of Super Immunity. Any woman living in the United States can participate, no matter if you are pregnant or dealing with a terminal illness. This program is studying the effects of a whole foods, mainly plant based Nutritarian diet. When I say diet, I do not mean a diet in the common sense, but as a lifestyle change. The program gives you a 4 week, 31 day menu and cookbook companion. You also get a digital copy of Dr. Fuhrman's book, Super Immunity, which you must read before joining the study. There are also some videos to watch and a short quiz over the book. All in all, pretty easy to get in. Once you let them know you are interested, they will send you the book link and then you have 30 days to read and answer the quiz. After that is a simple questionnaire about general health and you are in. Last email said they are still looking for more women. I encourage all women to join this one of a kind study.

Welcome!
Welcome to the new blog for my video series on YouTube called Living with Metastatic Cancer. I have been on this cancer journey for over 5 years and the metastatic journey for almost 3 years. I have compiled a ton of research on diet, mindful living, dealing with traumas, and dealing with various types of cancers. I have Stage 4 Breast cancer that is ER+ and now Her2-. The breast cancer has metastasized to my lungs, around my heart, breast bone, pelvic bone, around my liver, and many lymph nodes. The purpose of this blog is to impart more of the knowledge I have acquired in this journey. Diets, supplements, drugs I have tried and used. Books I have read and gleaned wonderful bits and pieces of valuable information. I have a wealth of information to share with you, and I will be posting all my videos for you to view as well. I hope this journey is valuable to you. Please comment and share your thoughts and ideas as well. All my love!
